Topic: South Koreaโs fertility rate
I chose this video because it discusses the issue of declining fertility rates, which has been a big topic in South Korea recently. As someone who is about to get married, I found it relevant and interesting. It made me think even more deeply about the future and the societal changes we may experience.Topic: Chinaโs Social Credit System
My teacher recommended this video because she thought I would be interested in it, and she was right. I found the topic of Chinaโs social credit system fascinating yet concerning. It made me think about how much control a government should have over its citizens’ behavior. What stuck with me the most was the woman in the interview saying, “Anyway, we don’t have a choice.” It made me think about how people adapt to control when it becomes part of everyday life.
TOPIC: 6 tips for better sleep
Here are a few of my vocabulary notes and discussion questions I made for this video. :
-tipsy: He was tipsy but still able to walk home safely.
-wind-down : After a long day at work, it is important to have a wind-down routine.
-sleep apnea: Sleep apnea can make people feel tired, even if they sleep all night.Questions:
-Is there a method from the video that you want to try for better sleep? Or is there something from the video you already do?
-The video says sleep is like a life-support system or a superpower, but some people think sleeping is a waste of time. What does sleep mean to you?https://www.ted.com/talks/matt_walker_6_tips_for_better_sleep/transcript?subtitle=ko&geo=de
